Hotel is all clean and has lots of interesting areas to hang out. What I loved about the hotel were people. All caring so much, all being very attentive and despite the hotel being quite full on some days, many of the staff members remembered us (my wife is on gluten-free diet and during breakfast we didn´t even to request special meal, they knew immediately and with smile). Once I wasn´t feeling well, but I was hungry, so I went to the restaurant and ordered risotto. It was very good, although I could not finish it (I left a lot on the plate). When the staff asked me if everything was all right (in very pleasant, not intruding way), I explained myself and they immediately offered me pot of tea "on the house" to make me feel better. The next day they asked me how I feel (during busy breakfast). This "human touch" in a busy conference hotel I consider as excellent and very rare in the today´s world. Everything else is already described by other visitors - room nice and clean, quite quiet (almost in the city center), breakfast with variety of options, many options were locally produced, all good.

The rooms are very nice, stylish and very clean. On the street side they are a bit noisy, but it was not disturbing for us. The ladies of the room cleaning on the other hand are very nice! The location is basically good, because you are in a few minutes walk in the historic center. However, the street in which the hotel is located is haunted by many drug users. Not only once you could observe a deal and met shady characters. However, one feels safe in the hotel. The hotel bar offers a lot of seating, which conjures up a great ambience! The hotel is generally very well kept and nice and you feel comfortable. They offer a great tennis court, but the rackets to borrow are junk. One still plays with the first stringing. A new stringing and new balls would be great. I think the breakfast is absolutely fantastic and everyone can find something from meat to egg to vegetables, fruits and sweets.

I cannot fault this hotel. The price was at the limit of what I would pay normally, but I thought it represented good value, especially as an excellent breakfast buffet was included. We stayed here on the first night of our trip as it is close to the airport and out flight got in at about 8:30 in the evening. We were upgraded to the master suite which was totally unexpected and definitely welcome. We made a reservation to return on our last night, but (sadly) no upgrade possible 🥲 although the standard room was no hardship!

Jan

We liked most the good quality of the bed, size of the room and the view which is overlooking the garden. Breakfast choices were very good. The staff including the ladies cleaning our room were very efficient in their work. They have a big parking area which was not free. It costs 6 euro a day. There are many areas in the hotel where you could sit and work. As our departure was very early, the staff at the reception offerred a wake up call plus the taxi picking us up at 4.50 am.

It’s located centrally in Ponta Delgada so everything is within walking distance. Lots of amenities including a great wellness area with pool, sauna and steam room which we really enjoyed. The breakfast was wonderful, lots of selection and very tasty. The rooms were super comfortable, spacious and clean. Everyone we encountered there was very helpful and extremely nice! We loved having casual drinks at the bar — great cocktails and very good bartenders!
